Fundraising Resources

The PWS Association has a number of resources we can send you to help with fundraising events. Please email to request these.

We raise funds to support PWS research and are a registered charity on the Givealittle website which can be used for setting up your own fundraising page.

An ideal opportunity for fundraising is on Rare Disease Day - an annual, worldwide event for raising awareness and funds. Rare Disease Day is held on February 28th each year, except in a leap year, when it is held on February 29th. The New Zealand Rare Disease Day website New Zealand Rare Disease Day website is a good place to look for fundraising resources.

Each year, there is also a global PWS Awareness Month held during May. The month culminates with GO ORANGE for PWS Day near the end of the month, which is an initiative of the PWS Association of Victoria, Australia. We have orange wristbands available to help raise funds at your Go Orange event, or for any other events during the year. Our members can purchase these at a low price; please email for further details.

The Foundation for Prader-Willi Research raise over a million dollars each year through One SMALL Step walks which take place around the world. PWSA (NZ) can help with transferring funds by setting up a walk event for youso all you have to do is get walkers to create fundraising pages under your walk event!
